Accountant - month-end close (Wichita, KS)

Summit Kestrel Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for clinical studies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with clinical studies. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
