Accountant - month-end close (Tulsa, OK)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Quarry Arts Center and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Track costs around event logistics against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with visitor services. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
