Accountant - month-end close (Tulsa, OK)

Stonegate Oak Banking Services Group is a regional lender in Tulsa with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Tulsa. • We reply to every applicant.
