Accountant - month-end close (Tulsa, OK)

Bright Rowan Banking Services Group is a regional lender in Tulsa with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 782 people based in Tulsa. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to branch operations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with branch operations. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
