Accountant - month-end close (Tucson, AZ)

Westbrook Field Manufacturing is a Tucson manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
