Accountant - month-end close (Toledo, OH)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Wilder Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Toledo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
