Accountant - month-end close (St. Louis, MO)

Foxglove Basin Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for field visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field visits, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around network equipment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
