Accountant - month-end close (Spokane, WA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Vista Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
