Accountant - month-end close (Spokane, WA)

Bluepeak Harbor Care Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for licensing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with licensing. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
