Accountant - month-end close (Spokane, WA)

Highbridge Forge Hospitality is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for reviews and feedback, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 195 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to reviews and feedback, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
