Accountant - month-end close (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Meadow Staffing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client orders, and clear open items. • Track costs around onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with client orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
