Accountant - month-end close (Savannah, GA)

Rivermark North Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Savannah producing generic and specialty treatments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with quality documentation. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
