Accountant - month-end close (Savannah, GA)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Quarry Banking Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to card disputes, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with card disputes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
