Accountant - month-end close (Savannah, GA)

Bluepeak Rook Press Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 93 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to press runs, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with press runs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
