Accountant - month-end close (Savannah, GA)

Highbridge Junction Manufacturing is a Savannah manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
