Accountant - month-end close (Savannah, GA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Ashton Legal Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 22 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing records, and clear open items. • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with billing records. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
