Accountant - month-end close (San Jose, CA)

Summit Lakeside Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for patient scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with patient scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
