Accountant - month-end close (San Jose, CA)

Greenridge Linden Health Partners runs clinics and patient services around San Jose, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to referrals, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around electronic records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with referrals. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
