Accountant - month-end close (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Meadow Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to device records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with device records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
