Accountant - month-end close (San Antonio, TX)

Ironwood North Pharma develops and makes medicines in San Antonio. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with release testing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
