Accountant - month-end close (San Antonio, TX)

Rivermark Quill Hospitality Group operates hotels and event venues around San Antonio, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 208 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with reviews and feedback. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
