Accountant - month-end close (Salt Lake City, UT)

Highbridge Oak Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Salt Lake City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 332 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to reviews and feedback, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with reviews and feedback. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
