Accountant - month-end close (Sacramento, CA)

Redstone Granite Manufacturing is a Sacramento manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 291 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
