Accountant - month-end close (Sacramento, CA)

Nova Summit Property Management is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for maintenance requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 324 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to maintenance requests, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with maintenance requests.
