Accountant - month-end close (Sacramento, CA)

Lumen Wilder Markets is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for promotions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 640 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
