Accountant - month-end close (Reno, NV)

Ironwood Amber Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for customer estimates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
