Accountant - month-end close (Reno, NV)

Summit Nest Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for customer estimates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 190 people based in Reno. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer estimates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
