Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Oak Health Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
