Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Redstone Ivory Facilities is a facilities company in Raleigh with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
