Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Rivermark Ashton Care Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for client records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 181 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around licensing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client records, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with client records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
