Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Silverline Wilder Property Management Group manages apartment communities around Colorado Springs. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent collection, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around vendor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
