Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Ashton Inspection Services Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client sites, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with client sites. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
