Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Rivermark Ashton Farms is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
