Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Clearpath Lakeside Arts Center Group is a cultural organisation in Dallas presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 64 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around visitor services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to volunteer programmes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer programmes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
