Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Stonegate Juniper Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Philadelphia. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Philadelphia. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
