Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Rivermark Timber Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in El Paso producing generic and specialty treatments, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with clinical studies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
