Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Summit Linden Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Fresno serving households and small businesses, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around loan files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
