Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to survey data, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
