Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Greenridge Rowan Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for certifications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
