Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Clearpath Junction Community Partners is a Providence charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with client intake. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
