Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Stonegate Keystone Environmental Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for fleet maintenance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around service complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
