Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Amberfield Fox Property Management is a Richmond property manager with leasing, maintenance and resident services. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 756 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around unit turnovers against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease renewals, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with lease renewals. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
