Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Rivermark Quill Health Group is a healthcare provider in Baltimore with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 169 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around clinic supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with insurance authorisations. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
