Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Bluepeak Bright Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for service appointments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 148 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around parts orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with service appointments. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
