Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Foxglove Corner Medical is a Atlanta company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to complaint handling, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
