Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Amberfield Meridian Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Tulsa area, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 668 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Tulsa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
