Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Redstone Juniper Care Services provides in-home and community support in El Paso. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 195 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client records, and clear open items. • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with client records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
