Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Bluepeak Rook Property Management is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for rent collection, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around vendor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent collection, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with rent collection. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
