Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Silverline Bright Press is a printer and publisher in Raleigh serving local and national clients. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around paper stock against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
