Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Westbrook Glen Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Miami. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
